Nepal telecom is of the leading telecom service provider of Nepal and all of the customer of Nepal telecom are curious to know about the detail of the wimax service. Since it is the latest technology launched in Nepal different users have misconception about the wimax service provided by ntc. They think that in wimax sim card is used to surf the internet but wimax provides service with the help of BTS(Base transceiver station) tower. Similarly wimax is 4G  technology launched by Airspan in Nepal.

I am one of the wimax user of Nepal telecom and in comparison to other internet service provided by ntc wimax is the best internet service. It is  fast, reliable and now I am satisfied with the internet speed of wimax. Recently I am using 512kbps of speed and the volume is 8GB at Rs 960.5 including V.A.T. In my opinion ntc wimax is far better than the internet service of Ncell. I know that speed of ncell is 3.6Mbps but I don't want that speed because it is very costly and I cannot afford Ncell.

Few months ago I think there is no one in telecom market of Nepal who can compete with Ncell because Ncell is the forgein company associated with teliasonera. But now I can proudly say that NTC is better then Ncell.

The worst part about the Nepal Telecom wimax service is that the modems and usb dongle are very costly but the prices and packages are cheap. 

At last in my opinion internet of both ncell and ntc wimax are good but packages of ncell  and devices of NTC wimax   are costly whereas wimax is costly for the first time only while buying the modem and Ncell is evergreen costly. I mean Ncell is just for millionaire not for a normal Nepali users.
