Today Cable, DTH are used in television broadcasting .Now the time has change and MVDDS (Multichannel Video and Data Distribution Service) technology will launch in Nepal. Mega Broadcast PVT L.T.D Will launch this service in Nepal after four months. Company's manager M.K Poudel Said that "Now we are exporting the equipment from America and Canada for the development of Infrastructure. This service will officially launch after the one month of test broadcasting."
Mega Broadcast is the first company of Nepal who got the licence to broadcast in MVDDS technology. Company is starting multi channel, multi point distribution service which is based on MVDDS technology. This company will start its service in 'My TV ' brand . MVDDS technology transfers Radio Signals into the television by the means of antenna and It will also provide internet service with this technology. Therefore we can watch T.V and Surf Internet with a same device.
Company is starting MVDDS service from Kathmandu and later on it will expand its service all over the country. In order to start MVDDS service company should establish towers that are similar to telecom towers in different places. In order to capture the signal that are transmitted from the antenna an umbrella shaped antenna should be fixed at the top of the roof. By connecting wire from those antenna we can watch different channels. In this technology we can both watch TV and surf internet.
